The Registered Nurse will play a crucial role in assessment and treatment planning for youth under 19 with various psychiatric challenges. Experience in nursing and mental health is preferred, with further training available for professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychiatric assessments and treatment plans

• Maintain a therapeutic milieu for patients

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on care plans

• Ensure safety and emotional support for patients

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required

• Registered or eligible with Nova Scotia College of Nursing

• Certification in Mental Health Nursing preferred

• Successful completion of BLS Program required

• Previous psychiatric nursing experience preferred
