Licensed Practical Nurse Emergency Department

This full-time temporary position requires an LPN with dedication and recent clinical experience, especially in emergency settings. You will work under the guidance of the Emergency Department Manager, alongside RNs, to develop and implement patient care plans. This role involves shifting schedules, including evenings and weekends, ensuring patient needs are met effectively in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess patients and collaborate on nursing care plans

• Implement and evaluate ongoing patient care strategies

• Work within an interdisciplinary care team

• Administer medications and conduct health assessments

• Provide Family Centered Care aligned with IWK Health's mission

Requirements:

• Graduated from a two-year LPN Diploma Program

• Licensed by Nova Scotia Nursing and Midwifery Regulator

• Current BLS certification from the past year

• Recent emergency department experience preferred

• Strong communication and critical thinking skills
