IWK Health is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for its Emergency Department. The role requires a commitment to holistic, evidence-based care while working with patients, families, and an interdisciplinary team. You'll play a vital role in health assessment, planning, and implementing patient care while supporting the community with a strong focus on excellence in nursing.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care
• Collaborate with patients and interdisciplinary team members
• Engage in health education and coordination of care
• Lead nursing assessments and implementation of care plans
• Advocate for patient health and wellness
Requirements:
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Program
• Minimum 2 years in pediatric or emergency care
• Current BLS certification; PALS and TNCC completion
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse patients
