In this temporary part-time position, you will report to the Director of Occupational Health, Safety & Wellness, playing a vital role in ensuring a safe environment for staff, physicians, and volunteers. Key tasks include conducting pre-placement health reviews, managing blood-borne pathogen exposures, and advising on health regulations. Collaboration and communication skills are essential as you work alongside various teams to enhance employee health and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform pre‑placement health reviews and administer immunizations
• Conduct communicable disease follow-up for staff
• Manage blood-borne pathogen exposure according to policies
• Provide clinical interventions supporting safe return to duties
• Develop wellness initiatives promoting overall health
Requirements:
• Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• 3–5 years acute care nursing experience required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required
• Current Standard First Aid Certificate required
• Knowledge of relevant legislation in healthcare
