Join Extendicare's compassionate team dedicated to improving quality of life for long-term care residents. The BSO Lead position requires extensive knowledge in dementia care, mental health interventions, and the coordination of interdisciplinary teams. Responsibilities also include facilitating training, managing documentation, and collaborating with various committees to ensure high standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the Responsive Behaviours Program effectively
• Coordinate interdisciplinary team meetings and rounds
• Train staff in best practices for responsive behaviours
• Prepare reports and participate in quality evaluations
• Monitor MDS indicators and program outcomes
Requirements:
• Registered RPN in good standing, Ontario
• 3-5 years experience in long-term care
• Knowledge of P.I.E.C.E.S.TM and related therapies
• Excellent assessment and critical thinking skills
• Strong communication abilities with teams
