Humber Valley Terrace is seeking a temporary full-time Registered Practical Nurse specializing in behavioral support. You will assess and manage behavioral and psychological symptoms in residents while collaborating with care teams and families. Key skills include expertise in dementia care, crisis management, and individual care strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver person-centered care to promote resident self-esteem
• Conduct assessments to identify behavioral risks and strategies
• Regulate care plans based on residents' responsive behaviors
• Communicate risks to external stakeholders and management
• Mentor staff and participate in quality improvement activities
Requirements:
• Current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses
• Minimum two years experience in a long-term care setting
• Degree in human psychology or behavioral sciences is an asset
• Certification in behavioral training preferred
• Registration with the Registered Practical Nurses Association required
