Nurse Practitioner in Urgent Care

Join a team at the Urgent Care Centre East as a Nurse Practitioner serving all ages in a permanent, full-time role. Provide expert health assessments and holistic care to clients in a dynamic environment.

This position is for an advanced practice Nurse Practitioner, focused on acute and chronic care within the Primary Health Care framework. You will work independently and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, using virtual care technologies. Regular shifts include days, evenings, and weekends, with a structured administrative component allocated for follow-up client care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct rapid health assessments and diagnoses

• Treat and manage acute and chronic health conditions

• Provide follow-up care via in-person, telephone, or virtual visits

• Utilize virtual technologies to enhance care delivery

• Collaborate with other healthcare providers in the clinic

Requirements:

• Completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program

• Current NLCN registration as a Nurse Practitioner

• Minimum five years nursing experience, including NP role

• Current BCLS Certification

• Knowledge of urgent care practices and models

Deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care as a Nurse Practitioner in the Acute Care environment, focusing on all age groups.
