Become a Diagnostic Imaging Nurse at IWK Health in Halifax. This part-time position offers an opportunity to impact patient care during critical imaging procedures.
As part of an interdisciplinary team, the DI Nurse provides vital care to both pediatric and adult patients. This role includes educating families and coordinating care pre- and post-sedation. The ideal candidate will have a solid nursing background, emphasizing critical thinking and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide holistic nursing care during imaging sessions
• Prepare patients with necessary education and instructions
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams
• Manage patient referrals for imaging procedures
• Maintain effective communication across departments
Requirements:
• Graduate from an accredited Nursing Program
• Eligible for registration with NSNMR
• At least 3 years of nursing experience required
• Experience with airway management critical
• BLS certification completed within the last year
