Join IWK Health as a Registered Nurse in the Gynecology Operating Room, contributing to holistic patient care and advanced surgical support in Halifax. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote health and manage complex care needs.
As a full-time, permanent Registered Nurse, you will provide comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care to individuals and families. Key responsibilities include nursing assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will also build professional relationships with health team members to ensure individualized, timely patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct nursing assessments and evaluate patient care needs
• Plan, implement, and evaluate care collaboratively
• Educate patients and families on health management
• Engage in independent and interdependent healthcare functions
• Promote excellence in nursing practice and teaching
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing; equivalent experience considered
• Eligible for licensure in Nova Scotia
• Recent OR experience within the last five years
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Knowledge of family-centred care practices
