Located in Halifax, IWK Health focuses on delivering comprehensive care for children and families. As a Registered Nurse in the Pediatric Operating Room, you will engage with interdisciplinary teams, providing leadership in patient assessment and care planning. You'll also play a crucial role in delivering Family Centred Care while facilitating individual needs and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments for pediatric patients
• Collaborate with health team members for effective care
• Implement and evaluate care plans tailored to families
• Educate patients and families about health issues
• Foster professional relationships within the care team
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is mandatory
• Minimum 6 months recent Operating Room experience
• Current Pediatric nursing experience preferred
• Completion of the Perioperative Course is required
• Proven communication and organizational skills are essential
