Pediatric Neurology Clinic Registered Nurse

Provide pediatric neurology nursing care at IWK Health in Halifax, using family assessments, patient education, and interdisciplinary collaboration. This permanent part time role is 50% FTE.
The Neurology Clinic Nurse delivers family centered care for children, youth, and families primarily in an ambulatory clinic. The position includes inpatient follow up, school health nurse consultation, telephone nursing, and support for neurological conditions. You will coordinate appointments, conferences, referrals, and transition processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess children, youth, and families directly or consultatively
- Educate patients and families about care and support services
- Coordinate appointments, case conferences, and telehealth conferences
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and school health nurses
- Follow up with neurology patients on inpatient units
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or commensurate education and experience
- Registration or eligibility with Nova Scotia nursing regulator
- Current Basic Life Support certification within required timeframe
- At least three years of current pediatric nursing experience
- Child and family assessment experience and strong communication skills
