Position: Wildlife Biologist - Field Operations Role

In this permanent role on a 2 weeks on/2 weeks off schedule, you will support wildlife and nest surveys at a mine site. Your responsibilities include conducting bird surveys and data collection, ensuring effective communication with crew leads, and developing safety plans. This position is ideal for candidates with a strong safety mindset and experience in remote settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support daily fieldwork for bird and wildlife surveys

• Conduct accurate data collection and photo documentation

• Assist crew leads with reporting and technical summaries

• Participate in risk assessments and tailgate meetings

• Provide logistical support for remote site operations

Requirements:

•

B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Biology, Ecology, or Environmental Science

• 2-4+ years of relevant wildlife experience

• Proficiency with GPS/GIS and digital forms

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license required

• Comfortable operating ATVs/UTVs and light trucks
