This full-time position involves hands-on gardening, including planting, weeding, and watering throughout the seasons. You will also supervise a gardening crew and handle customer inquiries. In winter, the role shifts to snow removal and maintenance operations, requiring adaptability and strong teamwork skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee planting and maintenance of horticultural displays
• Coordinate weekly tasks and provide direction to crew
• Conduct soil testing and enhance plant health
• Maintain documentation of garden conditions and improvements
• Respond to public inquiries with professionalism
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in horticulture or related field
• Minimum three years of direct horticulture experience
• Valid Ontario “G” driver’s license
• Experience with horticultural displays and maintenance
• Strong planning and communication skills
