QA​/QC foreperson Local

Position: QA/QC foreperson Local 409
With Modern Niagara’s continued growth in Atlantic Canada and the award of several major projects in the Halifax region, we are seeking a detail‑driven and proactive QA/QC Foreperson to join our team. You will play a critical role in ensuring our work meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance on a significant new project in downtown Halifax.

What You’ll Do

Lead and oversee all QA/QC activities on site to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and Modern Niagara standards

Conduct inspections, audits, and quality checks throughout all phases of construction

Identify deficiencies, coordinate corrective actions, and verify completion

Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and quality records

Collaborate closely with project managers, forepersons, trades, and commissioning teams

Support continuous improvement by promoting best practices and coaching field staff

What You Bring

Strong understanding of mechanical systems, installation standards, and construction quality requirements

Experience in QA/QC roles within the construction or mechanical contracting industry

Excellent communication, documentation, and problem‑solving skills

Ability to work collaboratively while holding teams accountable to quality expectations
