Weir Canada in Halifax is looking for a Naval Technologist to support critical operational test and evaluation services. Leverage your expertise in naval warfare for impactful naval equipment testing.
In this permanent full-time role, you will join the Combat and Control Systems team at the Canadian Forces Maritime Warfare Centre. Your technical background and experience with the Royal Canadian Navy will allow you to effectively coordinate and lead naval warfare evaluations and related testing. Expect a blend of office work and on-site testing activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Participate in technical and tactical investigations
• Coordinate naval equipment testing and trials
• Validate system performance and tactical effectiveness
• Lead complex evaluation projects as required
• Promote safety-first culture in all activities
Requirements:
• Eligibility for Government of Canada Level II security clearance
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• College Diploma or Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience
• Director level Naval Warfare Officer experience is a plus
• Familiarity with Test & Evaluation procedures preferable
