Position: Quality Assurance Manager - Women’s Apparel (QA Import)

The Role

Quality Assurance Manager – Women’s Apparel responsible for driving product compliance across core QA processes including care label approvals, third‑party inspection review, fabric and garment testing, and high‑return investigations for internationally produced product. Report‑driven role managing quality outcomes through analysis and vendor communication. Key liaison among overseas vendors, third‑party inspection partners, internal QC, Production, Tech Services, Fabric, and Merchandising teams.

Responsibilities
  • Overseas Inspection & Audit Management (~65%) – Review third‑party reports (QIMA, Intertek, Baak, etc.), release passing shipments, troubleshoot workmanship/measurement issues for failures, hold shipments missing approved TOP samples, manage 3‑week audit plan and unscheduled vendor audits.
  • Care Label Compliance (~12%) – Verify vendor’submitted labels against BOM, PIM, and Tech Packs, identify discrepancies, request corrections, update PIM layouts.
  • Fabric & Garment Testing (~11%) – Manage endu
    201texto-end testing process: review overseas fabric reports, process internal test requests, manage retests, communicate rejection or replacement instructions to suppliers.
  • Planning & QC Capacity (~2%) – Track TOP/Tech sample arrivals and build weekly QC capacity versus demand charts.
  • Returns & Escalation Analysis (~4%) – Investigate high‑return items, coordinate inventory pulls, conduct measurement checks, prepare samples and findings for executive review.
  • Special Call‑Outs (~2%) – Investigate escalated issues, coordinate re‑audits, ensure vendors implement corrective actions.
Qualifications
  • Experience:

    4–6 years in Apparel Quality Control, QA, or Production, managing offshore vendor quality through third‑party inspection and testing programs.
  • Technical Mastery:
    Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabric behavior, inspection standards (AQL, inline vs. final audits), colorfastness, shrinkage, seam strength.
  • Documentation Savvy:
    Cross‑reference complex data across BOMs, PIMs, Tech Packs, lab reports.
  • System

    Skills:

    Intermediate Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables). Net Suite or PIM systems experience is a major plus.
  • Testing Knowledge:
    Familiarity with fabric performance standards and lab testing methods.
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in Textiles, Apparel Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or equivalent professional experience.

Compensation

Base salary $70,000 to $77,000 annually plus 10% bonus eligibility, dependent on experience, skills, and internal equity. Eligible for annual discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance.
