This role calls for a Ph.D. holder with a minimum of 5 years in microbial genomics and a solid publication record. You will perform genome sequencing, mentor lab trainees, and actively participate in presenting your groundbreaking findings. Collaborating closely with the Principal Investigator, you will contribute to both technical and conceptual aspects of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform long and short-read genome sequencing

• Assist in mentoring and training laboratory members

• Present findings at internal and external meetings

• Prepare manuscripts for publication in scientific journals

Requirements:

• Ph.D. plus 5 years in a related field

• Proven experience with comparative microbial genomics

• Familiarity with genome assembly and metagenomic techniques

• Strong Python and Linux skills for bioinformatics
