Become the Associate Vice-President Research at Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia. This senior role will emphasize leadership in developing research talent and overseeing academic initiatives.
Reporting to the Vice-President Research & Innovation, this three-year term focuses on guiding talent programs and enhancing support for scholars at various stages of their careers. The AVP will drive major initiatives that require collaboration across faculties and governance oversight for research Centres, ensuring a transparent approach to mentorship and recognition.
Key Responsibilities:
• Direct research chairs and talent governance
• Foster development for PhD candidates and postdoctoral fellows
• Strengthen equitable mentorship pipelines
• Align research Centres with strategic goals
• Chair the Research Integrity Committee
Requirements:
• Proven scholarly achievement records
• Demonstrated academic leadership experience
