Position: Full-Time Research Assistant at FORBOW
Location: Halifax Regional Municipality

Support dynamic research initiatives as a Full-Time Research Assistant at FORBOW in the Central Zone. Engage in vital tasks involving recruitment, data management, and sample collection for youth mental health studies.

This 12-month casual position is based in the Abbie J. Lane Memorial Building. Reporting to the Principal Investigator, you'll assist with various aspects of the research project targeting youth, ages 1-24, at risk of mental illness. Your responsibilities will include administering tests, conducting interviews, and managing study data while fostering your professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in recruiting participants for mental health study

• Administer tests and conduct interviews with youth

• Collect biological samples and manage data entry

• Provide administrative support for study coordination

• Collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplinary team

Requirements:

• Grade 12 completion required;
Advanced degree preferred

• Experience in clinical research or healthcare settings

• Background working with children and youth preferred

• Knowledge of mental illness diagnostic criteria an asset

• Strong organizational and communication skills
