Job Summary

The Respiratory Epidemiology Research Team conducts research related to lung health across the lifespan and the epidemiology of respiratory diseases. The research program includes studies that collect primary data, analyses of secondary data as well as evidence synthesis projects. Reporting to the Principal Investigator (PI), the Research Associate will apply their knowledge and skills in epidemiology and research methods to support the PI across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary partners to generate insights in respiratory epidemiology and curate secondary data sources.
  • Develop and deliver clear, audience-appropriate summary reports and presentations.
  • Lead the preparation of reports, manuscripts, and other knowledge dissemination materials.
  • Work collaboratively with students and research staff on interdisciplinary projects.
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings to monitor project progress, milestones, and financial performance, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
  • Mentor students and team members while fostering knowledge sharing across internal and external partners.
  • Note

    Due to operational requirements, the successful applicant is required to work in-person on campus.

    Required Qualifications

  • PhD in Epidemiology with at least one year of relevant experience working with secondary data sources, or MSc with relevant work experience.
  • Experience collecting primary data, analyses of secondary data as well as evidence synthesis projects.
  • Understanding of lung health across the lifespan and the epidemiology of respiratory diseases.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and effectively manage time.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work independently, as well as part of multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, etc.
