Position: Flutter Frontend Developer for Retail Systems
Location: halifax regional municipality

Drive innovation as a Frontend Developer specializing in Flutter with Insight Global, one of Canada's largest independent retailers. Focus on modernizing their in-house POS system used in hundreds of locations.
As a member of the store systems team at Insight Global, you will enhance the customer experience by developing resilient, offline-capable UIs. Your primary focus will be on hardware integrations, ensuring seamless functionality of critical devices like scanners and printers within the Flutter framework. You’ll also work towards optimizing app performance during extensive store operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to modernizing store POS systems across various locations

• Design resilient UIs suited for retail environments

• Collaborate on hardware integrations for smooth operations

• Optimize for performance in long-running sessions

• Engage with backend APIs while managing network reliability
Requirements:

• Solid Flutter/Dart experience on mobile and desktop

• Familiarity with .NET/C# and Linux/Unix is desirable

• Understanding of Flutter’s UI architecture

• Experience with retail-style front ends

• Ability to build offline-tolerant UIs
