Assistant Store Manager – Kent Building Supplies

The Assistant Store Manager oversees day‑to‑day operations across multiple business lines (Retail, Pro, Install Sales), ensuring a seamless customer experience and productive store environment.

• Partner with Department Managers to ensure consistent execution across Retail, Pro, and Install Sales operations.
• Maintain well‑stocked, clean, and visually appealing departments that create a welcoming shopping environment.
• Implement sales strategies that support multiple revenue streams and meet overall store sales and margin targets.
• Coach, train, and develop Department Managers and associates to build bench strength and leadership capability.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, resolving concerns with empathy and efficiency for all customer segments.
• Oversee inventory accuracy and loss prevention practices across departments.
• Promote a safe, compliant, and well‑organized store environment, maintaining safety and operational standards.
• Collaborate closely with the Store Manager and leadership team to align priorities, communicate expectations, and drive accountability.
• Utilize retail systems (Microsoft Office, Kronos, D365) to support scheduling, reporting, and operational execution.

• Minimum 5+ years of retail management experience.
