As the Gallery Shop Coordinator, you are a key player in the gallery's retail strategy, balancing creative display setups with essential inventory management. Collaborating with artists and suppliers, you will curate a compelling selection of products while ensuring an exceptional shopping atmosphere.
Your role involves day-to-day oversight and inspiring staff, all while fostering a customer-centric culture that celebrates local artistic contributions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the daily functions of the Gallery Shop
• Monitor and manage inventory and sales metrics
• Develop merchandising plans to achieve sales goals
• Train shop staff and volunteers to deliver exemplary service
• Build connections within the local art community
Requirements:
• At least five years in retail or merchandising roles
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
• Experience with retail software, including Shopify
• Background in cultural organizations is beneficial
