Retail Clothing Buyer Position

Location: Halifax Regional Municipality

Join a retail business as a Clothing Buyer with a focus on stock management and customer service. This permanent role ensures effective merchandise selection and supervision of other buyers.

We are seeking a skilled Clothing Buyer to oversee stock adequacy and to select merchandise for resale. You will supervise a team of up to four buyers while conducting needs analysis and creating appealing merchandising displays. This role requires engaging with clients and attention to detail in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain optimal stock levels throughout the retail store

• Provide exceptional customer service to enhance shopper satisfaction

• Select and purchase quality merchandise for resale

• Supervise and coordinate work among fellow buyers

• Conduct analysis on merchandise needs, pricing, and displays

Requirements:

• Secondary (high) school diploma is required

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in buying

• Proficiency in computers and database software

• Experience in green economy and business sales

• Strong client focus and excellent communication skills
