Serve Halifax shoppers as a full-time Giant Tiger Retail Cashier, using electronic registers, self-checkouts, and strong customer service skills. Work day shifts, two evenings weekly, and alternating weekends.
As a Store Associate, you will support checkout operations at Giant Tiger’s 201 Chain Lake Drive location. The work includes recording transactions, replenishing checkout merchandise, maintaining standards, and supporting customer needs. You will also follow tobacco, lottery, health, safety, and loss prevention policies.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide a high level of customer service
- Record transactions through registers and self-checkouts
- Replenish merchandise around the checkout area
- Complete markdowns, SKU changes, and cycle counts
- Maintain clean, organized checkout work areas
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Attention to detail during varied tasks
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift and move up to 18 kilograms
