Position: Campus Security Officer for SMU
Protect the Saint Mary’s University community as a Campus Security Officer. Engage in safety patrols, emergency response, and investigations, working a 4-day on/off schedule.

At Paladin Security, you will play a vital role on the Mi’kma’ki campus, monitoring the premises during your shifts from Hrs and Hrs. Your responsibilities will include responding to emergencies, assisting students, and documenting incidents involving theft and accidents. This position is essential for ensuring safety in a diverse educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular patrols of campus buildings and grounds

• Respond quickly to emergencies and security incidents

• Document investigations regarding suspicious activities

• Unlock and secure doors as necessary

• Assist in the training of new security personnel

Requirements:

• Eligible to secure a Security License in Nova Scotia

• Current Intermediate First Aid and CPR Level C certification

• Proficiency in English communication skills

• Previous experience in security or a related field preferred

• Required certifications in Use of Force and MOAB
