School Security Guard

Become a vital part of the Halifax Regional Centre for Education as a School-Based Security Guard. Oversee school security operations and monitor building traffic during regular hours.

As a proactive member of the school environment, you will report to the Principal and uphold the security framework in place. This position requires collaboration, a high school diploma, and a minimum of five years' experience in security functions.

Your role will directly contribute to making the school a safe learning space for all.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise incoming and outgoing school traffic

• Employ security devices for monitoring tasks

• Provide recommendations for improving security

• Answer visitor questions and manage inquiries

• Collaborate with the administrative team for security needs

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent qualification

• Minimum five years of relevant security experience

• Capable of meeting physical demands of the role

• Completion of Criminal Records Check required

• Available for regular working hours
