About the Opportunity
The Electrician is responsible for maintenance and repair of all electrical equipment. Duties include installation of phone and data cables and terminations, electrical renovations or new installations as required. The electrician is responsible to troubleshoot, maintain and repair all of the complex’s electrical and electronic equipment and systems. To install new electrical equipment when needed and comply with Canadian and Provincial Codes.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Grade XII and valid Nova Scotia Construction Electrician Journeyman Certification
- One year post Journeyman experience required, four years experience preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge in maintenance repair and installation of all types of electrical systems and new equipment
- Knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and Safety Codes
- Valid training in the following will be considered an asset: WHMIS, Confined Space Awareness, Fall Protection, Arc Flash Training, First Aid, Lock & Tag Out, Infection Control
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours
- Permanent, full-time position; 75 hours bi-weekly
- Shift work may be required.
Compensation and Benefits
$32.79 - $38.55 Hourly
