Maintenance Worker, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Building Maintenance

Responsibilities
Maintain the grounds surrounding the building, ensuring it is safe and aesthetically pleasing
Manage and conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inspections/checks
Assists with moving and storage of supplies and equipment
Report on equipment malfunctions
Maintain and make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, electrical systems, etc.
Performs other routine maintenance such as painting, drywall repair etc.
Contact and follow-up with contractors, technicians, and service representatives utilized by the organization when necessary
Available for emergency calls
Additional duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications
Knows basic carpentry, welding, furnace repair, small appliance repair and safety regulations
Must be self directed, dependable, conscientious, and lead by example
Ability to organize and complete assigned workloads
Strong verbal and written English communication skills
Physically fit/able to perform physically demanding job duties
Able to work as part of a team with other Department Previous maintenance experience is an asset
Must posess a valid drivers licence
Must be double vaccinated
Must be able to provide a clear criminal record/vulnerable sector search
