About Our Opportunity

You would be part of a team of nine, reporting to the Director of the Office of Workplace Mental Health.

Primary Accountabilities

  • Provide supports and services focused on promoting positive mental health, preventing psychological harm, and supporting interventions for those experiencing mental distress.
  • Navigate individuals to appropriate resources.
  • Ensure confidentiality of information is maintained and that it is accurately entered into the Workplace Mental Health client relationship management system.
  • Develop and implement training, presentations, and resources.
  • Develop and foster positive relationships with provincial government employees, mental health and wellness service supports, and community organizations.
  • Design custom supports tailored to the needs of specific teams within government.
  • Promote workplace factors that support psychological health and safety in the workplace.
  • Qualifications and Experience

    This could be the right job for you if you have the following knowledge, skills, and experience:

  • Post-secondary education along with several years of related life experience in the field of mental health. Life experiences may include having been a user of mental health services; supporting a family member or friend; and/or as service provider.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Experience partnering and building positive relationships.
  • Proven ability to develop and deliver information, resources and supports that foster well-being and mental health in the workplace.
  • Awareness of the impacts of social determinants of health, trauma, oppression, inequities, and systemic barriers. And an understanding of the complexities facing those living with mental health challenges and/or mental illness; as well as available support and resources.
  • Demonstrated use of a solution-focused approach with the ability to initiate tasks with little supervision.
  • Proficiency in computer software applications such as Microsoft Office and email ( Outlook) and related business applications.
  • Strong community connections and resources in the community are an asset to this position to develop and strengthen partnerships.
  • We will assess the above qualifications and competencies using one or more of the following tools: written examination, standardized tests, oral presentations, interview(s), and reference checks.

    Working Conditions

  • Normal work week is 35 hours/week, 7 hours/day
  • May be required to work overtime on occasion

  • Pay Grade:EC 11 Salary Range:$3,;

    - $4,;

    Bi-Weekly The salary rates include an economic adjustment that has been approved. These rates are effective April 1, 2025. Implementation in our HR system will occur on March 5, 2026. Until then, the current rates will apply. Employees hired during this period will receive retroactive pay adjustments in accordance with the applicable policies.
