This role focuses on assisting youth staying at the Phoenix Youth Shelter, addressing their immediate needs while ensuring a safe and welcoming atmosphere. You will engage in crisis intervention, supervise activities, and maintain confidentiality. Essential abilities include strong communication, cooking, and organizational skills that contribute to creating a therapeutic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and meet basic needs of youth residents
• Supervise and ensure safety during overnight hours
• Provide crisis intervention support and programming
• Complete assigned cooking and cleaning tasks
• Maintain logs and communicate with daytime staff
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or pertinent area
• Two years of experience in youth services
• Knowledge of mental health crises and interventions
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team
Support the youth community at Phoenix through dedicated evening assistance as a Weekend Evening Youth Worker.
