As a Child and Youth Worker, you will engage with children in group homes and children's services facilities. This position requires dedication to developing life skills, conducting counselling sessions, and providing crisis intervention. Candidates must have relevant certificates such as Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training and Non-violent Crisis Intervention.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement life skills workshops for clients
• Conduct individual and group counselling sessions
• Prepare case histories and program statistics
• Supervise client activities in homes and facilities
• Liaise with health care providers and social services
Requirements:
• Certificate or diploma in a relevant field
• Experience working with children preferred
• Valid driver's license required
• Bondable and criminal record check needed
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting
