This permanent position plays a crucial role in the Department of Opportunities and Social Development. You will work directly with those with disabilities and their families to enhance self-directed living and community integration through the Human Rights Remedy.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coach individuals to navigate personal development and community ties
• Advocate for improved access to local services and resources
• Develop partnerships with regional organizations to promote inclusivity
• Facilitate community awareness on disability rights
• Support person-centered planning to empower individuals
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related area
• Two years of experience supporting individuals with disabilities
• Strong community connections or ability to build relationships
• Skilled in communication and advocacy
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
