Position: Outreach Worker for Youth Services
Become a vital advocate for youth through Anchor Youth Space in Halifax, NS as a full-time Outreach Worker.

Your role will focus on empowering youth by guiding them to mental health resources.

As part of the Integrated Youth Services (IYS) team, this position emphasizes social justice and inclusivity in mental health care. You will connect with youth aged 12 to 25, assisting them in navigating mental health challenges and fostering their community connections. You'll work collaboratively to ensure high-quality, culturally responsive services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage youth through tailored outreach initiatives

• Provide comprehensive intake assessments

• Advocate for youth access to community resources

• Develop and implement care plans with clients

• Ensure accurate documentation for coordinated care

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field

• Two to five years of experience in youth outreach

• Relevant certifications like ASIST and First Aid

• Proven ability to foster therapeutic relationships

• Proficiency in electronic client record-keeping
