Community Engagement Lead at M’Chigeeng

Drive community wellness initiatives as the Community Engagement Worker for M’Chigeeng First Nation. Focus on Child Well-Being Law development through culturally grounded engagement activities.

In this full-time role, you will spearhead community engagement and ensure local voices influence planning and decision-making. Collaborating with Elders and stakeholders, you will gather insights and analyze community needs to inform the development of the Child Well-Being Law. Your work will be crucial in aligning engagement activities with the broader jurisdictional strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement the Year 1 Community Engagement Plan

• Facilitate sessions with diverse community members and partners

• Document community input while ensuring confidentiality

• Analyze themes to support needs assessment and community care

• Prepare engagement summaries for leadership and stakeholders

Requirements:

• Degree in Social Services, Community Development, or related field

• 3–5 years facilitating community engagement in Indigenous settings

• Strong understanding of Anishinaabe culture and teachings

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and data tracking tools

• Ability to work flexible hours for community events
