This term position focuses on helping children, youth, and families connected to the Child and Family Wellbeing program. Collaborate closely with social workers to develop tailored support plans.
Your role will emphasize building positive relationships, independent living strategies, and connecting clients to critical community resources.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop supportive strategies for independent living
• Build relationships with diverse clients
• Advocate for clients and link community resources
• Assist with housing and life skills
• Conduct home visits and attend court sessions
Requirements:
• Child & Youth Care Worker diploma required
• Understanding of child development and family dynamics
• Effective communication skills for client engagement
• Ability to work independently and in teams
• Knowledge of Microsoft Suite and case management systems
