This role requires you to actively engage with families, creating strategies to promote resilience and independence. Collaborate with social workers to develop and implement service plans tailored to meet the unique needs of diverse clients. Your expertise will directly contribute to empowering vulnerable Nova Scotians while advocating for their access to community resources.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop strategies for independent living
• Build positive relationships with families and youth
• Advocate for clients to access community resources
• Assist with social supports and life skills
• Conduct independent client visits and evaluations
Requirements:
• Approved diploma in Child & Youth Care
• Knowledge of child development and community resources
• Effective communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work independently and in teams
• Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
