Elevate your career as a Lifeskills Support Worker with Northern Health. In this casual role, you will assist mental health and addiction clients in maximizing their independent living skills.
This position supports the Day Treatment program under the supervision of the Manager. As a Lifeskills Support Worker, you will implement care plans, assist with daily living activities, medication management, and provide necessary training. Your work will significantly impact clients’ quality of life and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor client functions and health status daily
• Assist clients with medications and personal hygiene
• Facilitate meal preparation and household management
• Support socialization, recreation, and vocational skills
• Report significant behavioral changes to case managers
Requirements:
• Diploma in Community Social Service
• Class V BC Driver’s License
• Certificates in CPR, First Aid, and Food Safe
• Minimum two years of relevant experience
• Strong communication and crisis intervention skills
