In this role, you will report to the Manager of Kanikonriio Child and Youth Programs. Your mission is to empower Indigenous youth aged 12-17 in Brantford. Through effective cultural education and community involvement, you will support rehabilitation and enhance reintegration processes while working to prevent recidivism.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement culturally relevant programming for youth
• Provide education and support for Indigenous children and families
• Collaborate with community organizations for effective service delivery
• Monitor youth on probation or supervision for successful reintegration
• Assist in preventing reoffending through community engagement
Requirements:
• Experience with Indigenous youth and community services
• Understanding of cultural supports in social services
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups
• Commitment to rehabilitation and community support
Support Indigenous youth through culturally relevant programming and community initiatives in your role with Six Nations.
