In this full-time role with Anchor Youth Space, you will serve as an essential resource for youth from underserved communities, especially those reflecting the African Nova Scotian heritage. Your duties will include acting as a mentor, ensuring coordinated access to services, and providing steady support that helps youth navigate their mental health journeys.
Key Responsibilities:
• Advocate for youth well-being and mental health
• Create and implement tailored care plans
• Assist with youth transitions into adult services
• Support peer initiatives enhancing youth connections
• Facilitate group programming for social engagement
Requirements:
• Experience in youth advocacy or mental health services
• Strong ethical principles in practice
• Knowledge of community service frameworks
• Ability to engage effectively with diverse groups
• Commitment to EDIRAA practices in service delivery
