Position: Software Engineer Intern (MyForms)

As a Software Engineering Intern, you will work directly with talented individuals of all levels. With guidance from a departmental leader you will work on the MyForms product.
The right candidate for our internship will be expected to know commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the Software Development process and rely on mentorship, instructions, and pre-established guidelines to perform the job's functions.
This is preferred to be a hybrid role located at our Resmed headquarters in Bedford, Nova Scotia, Canada. Candidates will be asked to be available to participate in both on-site and remote team meetings.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):
Ability to work full-time for 12 weeks during Summer 2025; program dates are May 18th – August 7th, 2026, OR June 15th – September 4th, 2026; potential to start early on May 4th, 2026Academic studies that will lead to a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Software Engineering or any related field)Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skillsStrong object-oriented design and programming skillsExperience in Java, Python, or C#, targeting multiple platforms (e.g. Windows, Linux) and application types (e.g. console, website, REST APIs)Experience with front-end JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React) and web servers (e.g. Apache, Nginx, IIS).Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Strong experiences as demonstrated through projects, research or Software Engineering internshipsGreat interpersonal relations, team cooperation and communication skills.Exceptional organizational and collaboration skills as demonstrated through leadership positions on teams and/or in student or civic organizationsExceptional communication skills and interest and enthusiasm related to medical technology industry and a career with Res MedExperience developing serverless applications, using AWS Lambda, SNS, SQS, and S3Experience with Git, Confluence, and JIRAExperience working with, or an understanding of, No
SQL databases (e.g. Mongo
DB) and relational databasesExperience with test-driven development (TDD)Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g. Git Hub Actions) and infrastructure as code tools (e.g. Terraform, Cloud Formation)An understanding of 12-factor applications and cloud-native principlesExperience with various message brokering architectures (pub/sub-queues, request/response) and data streamingAI, Machine Learning, and Data Engineering experienceExperience with Amazon ECS, Amazon EKS, AWS Elastic Beanstalk, AWS Lambda, or Amazon EC2Experience working with and managing container development, deployment and operations on AWS, specifically with ECS or EKSExperience with testing frameworks (e.g. Junit, Nunit, Selenium, Playwright), and testing tools (e.g. JMeter, Postman, Cucumber)Pay Range:
