Position: Co-op Program for Fall 2026 - Software Developer
About the role  The candidate will participate in a structured co‑op work‑study program between Lockheed Martin Canada Inc. (Lockheed Martin) and the college or university where they are enrolled in a recognized program of study directly related to the skills required by the company. The candidate will perform assigned tasks in technical disciplines (e.g., computer science, software engineering, and computer engineering).

Specifically, the candidate will perform software development work for naval programs.
Responsibilities   Programming and debugging in C++ and Java.
Unit testing and documentation.
Software design.
Production of metrics and status reports.
Working in an Agile team environment.
Various other tasks as required.
What you bring to the role  Currently enrolled student in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a similar field.
Ability to program and debug using current tools in an object‑oriented environment.
Knowledge of Java programming.
Ability to obtain NATO Secret security clearance in a timely manner.
Additional desired skills:
Knowledge of C++ programming.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum software development practices.
Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
A valid security clearance would be considered an asset.
