Become a key player in autonomous flight systems as a GNC Engineer III/IV at Zone 5 Technologies in San Luis Obispo, CA. Drive innovation through flight controls software development and testing every day.
This position focuses on designing and building flight controls software for UAS, requiring close collaboration with engineering teams to develop new software components. You will conduct high-fidelity simulations, perform controls analysis, and ensure stability and performance in UAS. Effective communication and peer collaboration will enhance the design cycle, ensuring quality results.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and build flight controls software for UAS
• Develop software components for flight test deployments
• Create and modify avionics software modules
• Run SW and HW in the loop simulations
• Conduct stability and performance analysis
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
• 5+ years in UAS flight controls engineering
• Proficient in Matlab/Simulink
• Strong problem-solving ability
• Excellent communication skills
