We are looking to grow our company and our teams with highly skilled people. We are seeking a Computer Science or Computing Engineer to support the NVIDIA Back End Compiler Team. Our Compiler team constructs and emits high-performance GPU machine instructions for Graphics (OpenGL, Vulkan, DX) and Compute (CUDA, PTX, OpenCL, Fortran, C++). The team comprises worldwide compiler engineering experts providing leading-edge performance for NVIDIA’s complex parallel SIMT architectures.
What you’ll be doingInvestigate problems or improvement opportunities within the NVIDIA Compiler Back End, aligned with your compiler experience and knowledge.
Collaborate with global compiler, hardware, and application teams to oversee improvements and resolve problems.
Be part of a team at the center of deep-learning compiler technology, spanning architecture design and support through functional languages.
Recent graduate with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
Successful completion of an undergraduate Compiler Design class. Background in LLVM code generation.
Strong writing and oral skills, and ability to follow software engineering best practices.
Strong coding skills in C/C++.
You specialize or have pursued graduate coursework in Compiler Design and Construction.
Hands-on experience with backend compiler design and code generation.
Background in LLVM code generation including instruction scheduling, software pipelining, register allocation, GlobalISel, Table Gen, LLVM IR, and Machine IR (MIR).
Experience in GPU and parallel architectures; CUDA and/or PTX;
Graphics (OpenGL, DX, or Vulkan) is a plus.

Your base salary will be determined based on location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 108,000 USD - 178,250 USD for Level 1, and 124,000 USD - 195,500 USD for Level 2.
You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
