Our challenge

We are seeking a Senior AI Full Stack Engineer to join a strategic technology initiative within client's Capital Markets. The successful candidate will help design and develop modern AI- powered applications by combining expertise in data engineering, backend services, frontend development, and Generative AI. The ideal candidate is passionate about building scalable data products and AI solutions while working across the full technology stack.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Toronto, ON/Halifax, NS is CAD $110k – CAD $120k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

Design and develop modern data pipelines using Dagster and dbt.

Build scalable backend services using Python and FastAPI.

Develop RESTful APIs and asynchronous services for high-performance applications.

Create responsive and intuitive web applications using React, TypeScript, Tan Stack, and TailwindCSS.

Build and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines.

Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) into enterprise applications.

Implement Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations for AI agent workflows.

Develop reusable data products while ensuring data quality, lineage, and governance.

Collaborate with data engineers, AI engineers, product owners, and business stakeholders.

Follow software engineering best practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, and code reviews.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent

6+ years of software development experience

2+ years building GenAI/LLM applications

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Experience working within Agile teams

Hands-on experience with dbt

Good understanding of Medallion Architecture
