Job Title: Reformer Pilates Instructor
Location: Saint Mary's University, Homburg Centre for Health and Wellness
Schedule: Afternoons, Evenings, and Weekends (to be negotiated)
Compensation: $30-$40 per class (based on experience and qualifications)
Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and engaging Reformer Pilates Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate is trained in contemporary Pilates and has hands-on experience teaching with Reformer, Tower, and Split Pedal Chair apparatus. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a welcoming studio environment and is passionate about growing classes and helping clients build strength, mobility, and body awareness.
Key Responsibilities:
Instruct safe, effective, and inspiring group classes using the Pilates Reformer.Apply contemporary Pilates principles with creativity and attention to alignment, flow, and individual client needs.Offer modifications and progressions to support a wide range of fitness levels and abilities.Maintain a clean, professional studio space and ensure equipment is used safely and correctly.Build rapport with clients and foster a positive, inclusive class environment.Arrive on time, prepared, and enthusiastic to lead each session.Collaborate with the studio team to promote classes and contribute to community growth.Qualifications:
Certification in Reformer PilatesExperience teaching with the Split Pedal Chair is preferred.Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).At least 1 year of group teaching experience preferred.Strong communication, professionalism, and interpersonal skills.Passionate about helping clients improve through mindful movement.Schedule:
Must be available to teach during some evenings, and weekends.Class scheduling will be based on studio needs and instructor availability.Compensation:
$30-$40 per class, based on experience and qualifications.
