School Bus Driver - On-Call Casual

Drive with care and commitment as a Casual Bus Driver for Cape Breton-Victoria Regional Centre for Education. This opportunity focuses on providing safe transport for students across various school routes.

We are looking for responsible and conscientious individuals to join our driving team. You will operate school buses while ensuring safety and maintaining high cleanliness standards. A Class 1, 2, or 3 NS Driver's Licence, along with relevant experience is required for this position, where teamwork and adherence to policies are crucial.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive the school bus following set safety regulations

• Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections daily

• Maintain order and adhere to Board disciplinary procedures

• Communicate mechanical issues promptly to authorities

• Ensure bus cleanliness both inside and out

Requirements:

• Class 1, 2 or 3 NS Driver’s Licence preferred

• Experience with large commercial vehicles required

• Strong understanding of safety standards and policies

• Valid Standard First Aid certification preferred

• Clear Criminal Record and Child Abuse Registry checks required
