Class 1 Flatbed Driver - Crane​/Boom Operator

Position Summary
Responsible for transporting a variety of cargo while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and securing loads properly.

Your role includes conducting pre-trip and post‑trip inspections, managing delivery schedules, and operating the vehicle safely on various routes.

Schedule
Day Shift, Monday to Saturday - 7:00 am start time

What you will do

Must be comfortable operating Class 1 flatbed truck, Class 3 flatbed truck with or without drywall crane

Making deliveries in a safe and timely manner in the Greater Halifax Area

Load securement of building products

Constant communication with the customer

Conduct thorough pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking tires, brakes, lights, and cargo securement, and report any issues to the maintenance department for timely repairs.

What You’ll Bring

1‑2 years of commercial driving experience

Less than High School, but has basic reading, communication, and arithmetic skills to follow direction

Valid Class 1 license

Moffett experience is an asset

Crane certification is an asset

Skills & Competencies

Must be comfortable with both city and highway driving, regular tight turns, and backup into small docks

Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a consistent basis

Follow company rules and regulations in regards to safety and hours of service
