Class 1 Flatbed Driver

Drive with purpose as a Class 1 Flatbed Driver for Canada Cartage in Halifax, NS. Safely transport various cargo while securing loads and adhering to safety regulations.

This role involves operating both Class 1 and Class 3 flatbed trucks, making timely deliveries around the Greater Halifax Area. You’ll conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain constant communication with customers. Ideal for candidates with 1-2 years of commercial driving experience and strong customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate Class 1 and Class 3 flatbed trucks

• Ensure securement of building products during transport

• Conduct vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues

• Communicate efficiently with customers

• Drive safely on city streets and highways

Requirements:

• Valid Class 1 driver's license

• 1-2 years commercial driving experience

• Basic arithmetic and communication skills

• Moffett and crane certification are assets

• Ability to lift 50lbs consistently
