Equipment Operator at CN Intermodal

As an Intermodal Equipment Operator, you will begin as a Spare board employee, operating yard tractors and performing hand signals for Heavy Equipment Operators. This position involves working with various types of heavy machinery and requires a valid driver's license and the ability to operate heavy equipment safely, under varying outdoor conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform hand and horn signals to assist Heavy Equipment Operators

• Lift and place inter-box connectors on railcars

• Drive pickups, yard tractors, and trucks as needed

• Assist in proper setup of rail cars for container loading

• Complete paperwork for loading and unloading railcars

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED

• Valid driver’s license and lift-truck certification

• Physical ability to lift up to 70 pounds

• Experience in operating heavy equipment

• Strong verbal communication and teamwork skills
